About Oregon Bioscience Association

The Oregon Bioscience Association was formally established as a 501(c)(6) non-profit in 1989 by a consortium of universities, public officials, educators, and bioscience executives. Since its founding, the Association has united key stakeholders to cultivate a vibrant bioscience community in the region.

How We Do It

We engage in a wide range of activities to strengthen and grow the bioscience sector, including:

  • Advocating for the industry's contributions, challenges, and priorities
  • Delivering cost-saving services and fostering strategic partnerships
  • Hosting events, conferences, and networking opportunities
  • Providing professional development through the BioPro workforce training program
  • Promoting research collaborations between industry and academia
  • Conducting market research and sharing industry insights with stakeholders
  • Supporting workforce pipelines through internships, apprenticeships, and mentorship programs
  • Showcasing innovations and advancements in bioscience at regional events
  • Facilitating introductions between companies and funding sources or investors
