OBW CONNECT 2024: Leadership From Anywhere
Women in the bio space (spoiler, there are more than 15,000 of us in the Oregon bioscience and biotech ecosystem!) are natural leaders – whether they are entrepreneur-ing, in the lab/at the bench, in commercialization and R&D, QA, venture capitalizing and funding, or in academia. And at all levels of our careers, we uniquely can seize on everyday opportunities to innovate and lead from anywhere – with ‘anywhere’ meaning wherever we are in the org chart, in our career trajectory, or in our readiness to succeed.

Jenn Klotz
Jenn Klotz is a dynamic accomplished leader focused on building relationships and forging connections to get work done together. She is the Senior Community Relations and Communications Lead for Genentech in Oregon. She has been at Genentech for over 15 years in various roles. During her time at Genentech Jenn has been a leader in creating and implementing strategies that impact the workforce, the community and Genentech’s patients through the lens of equity.

Namrata Saroj
Entrepreneur and national biotech executive Namrata Saroj, OD, brings her ‘anywhere’ to us via her worldly expertise around global development and commercialization of drugs and technologies. With her leadership experience at Genentech, Regeneron, The Clinical Trials Resource Group and the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, Dr. Saroj has much to share to empower us all.
Erica Schlesinger
Erica is the VP of Technical Development at Serán Bioscience at the Bend, Ore. campus. Prior to joining Serán, Erica worked as a Scientist at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals developing advanced formulations and novel drug delivery systems for protein therapeutics and served in roles focused on technical development of pharmaceutical products and processes at Genentech and Seattle Genetic. She even has the Peace Corps in her background, when she volunteered to teach high school chemistry in Mozambique.
Let’s get our ‘anywhere’ together at the upcoming Oregon Bio Women CONNECT event on Thursday, July 25 at the Twist Bioscience campus in Wilsonville, Oregon. OBW CONNECT is the annual signature event of the Oregon Bio Women’s Committee.
Previous CONNECT events have featured keynote speakers like Emily Leproust, CEO & Cofounder, Twist, as well as seminars on negotiation and conflict resolution.
