OBW CONNECT 2023: Women + Negotiation – Are You Ready for Better Outcomes?

Oregon Bio Women CONNECT 2023 is happening Thursday, August 17 in the Lloyd District of Portland – at Genentech. It will be a time to network/share/grow!

Women across industries and skill levels agree negotiation and conflict resolution abilities are not innate nor are they a gift. They are a learned skill. Whether you’re enacting complex contracts, working to improve your supply chain, leading a diverse group, vying for financing or working capital, developing regulatory/compliance strategies, seeking a raise or a better job, managing the carpool for preschool, assigning home chores, or buying/selling a residence, these important opportunities to lean in abound and most always require negotiation.

Negotiation and conflict management skills require data capture and comprehension, assertiveness, confidence, and emotional intelligence. In this time together, we’ll:

·        Learn concepts of strategic negotiation and the importance of information in negotiations

·        Explore the role and use of objective criteria in negotiations

·        Strategize and overcome challenges

·        Chart a course for professional development using a mentoring model, navigate the obstacles and get empowered to achieve personal and professional growth.
