BIO IN THE VALLEY 2021
Join your bio colleagues at Bio in the Valley at Oregon’s new R&D crown jewel: the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact.
Acceleration of the growing bioscience community in the Eugene-Springfield/ Willamette Valley region is happening. Local biotech, life science and R&D companies are hiring at breakneck speeds to fill innovation and manufacturing jobs. Industry and academic collabs are taking shape. This emerging science and tech cluster is spurred by companies and startups in the biotech and life science space that are launching and growing. The billion-dollar investment of the University of Oregon’s new Knight Campus will likely be a key part of the industry-forward conversation. How much economic strength is coming to this high quality-of-life region?
After hearing an opening by University of Oregon and a co-keynote presentation by Liisa Bozinovic, Executive Director of the Oregon Bioscience Association and Matt Sayre, Managing Director at Onward Eugene, about the economics and assets of the Willamette Valley-area bio ecosystem, the discussion will highlight local and regional expertise in the life sciences, biotechnology and R&D spaces.
(Spoiler alert: We’ll be making a significant announcement at this event!)
