What is the Bioscience Industry?

“Bio” means the use of biological processes and technology to solve problems and make useful products. At its simplest, biotechnology is technology based on biology. More broadly, biotechnology utilizes the sciences of biology, botany, chemistry, geology, physics, engineering, computers and information technology to develop tools, processes and products that bring great promise. Biotechnology companies all over the world are involved in the research and development of innovative healthcare, agricultural, industrial and environmental biotechnology technologies.
